September FRSC

The September theme was elocution. I made Irish stew and soda bread and we had chocolate whiskey pudding to finish it off. Everyone brought something to read, recite or sing. I figured out I could remove furniture from the living room, put the table from the kitchen nook end-to-end with the dining table and create a fair approximation of a banquet hall for 10. I have no pictorial evidence. But I have witnesses to the fact.

September FRSC Invite
It happened, it’s September. The autumnal equinox is mere weeks away. An equal division of day and night for one 24-hour period - then the swift slide into darkness....

On a cheerier note, here’s info for this month’s FRSC!

Date: September 27, Friday
Time: 6:30 pm / supper at 7:00 pm
Theme: Recitation

Details: Bring something to recite to the group. A poem, a mathematical formula, a magazine article - words others should know about, words you like speaking - or singing! you can sing us  a song! We’ll even take limericks!

Your piece doesn’t have to be memorized, however, there will be a prize for the longest piece of memorization.

The Irish are a wordy bunch, so there will be an Irish meal to complement this experiment in elocution.

Let me know if you’d like to come!
